This nostalgic documentary shows a world long time gone. The film protagonists, the elderly Doerffer brothers, document in an amateur film the memories of their youth from the years between the World Wars. The chronicle of their family brings to life the world of old automobiles, horse drawn carriages, first steam trains, and wealthy landowners.

Krzysztof Magowski was born in Poznan, Poland in 1952. He graduated from the Law School of Poznan University and the School of Film and TV in Katowice (film directing). He has directed over 20 feature and documentary films, including: ON THE STAGE (1983); THERE IS GOING TO BE A WAR (1986), MORE BLUES (1988), THE WAY MY UNCLES LIVED (2001); CHEERLEADERS (2001); SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL (2001); THE INTERNET LOVE OF MISS HAW (2002).
