Amin Aslani was born in Paris in 1976. He studied philosophy, then worked as an assistant director under his father, the distinguished Iranian documentarian Mohammad Reza Aslani. He has directed three films in addition to MOURNING-BOOK FOR THE LAND OF THE MERIDIAN, and edited thirty more.
