Country music legends and acting legends of years gone by have reincarnated themselves, offering up patriotic, Christian entertainment to six million tourists annually. Light-hearted and ironic, HEAVEN ON EARTH takes a behind the scenes look at this mythical American town. The film features the largest Veteran's Day celebration in the United States. At this parade, we get a rare interview with Paul Tibbets, pilot of the Enola Gay, who reflects on his dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima. We also see the spectacular resurrection of Jesus in the musical THE PROMISE. This is a film about God, country, and country music.

Rick Minnich was born in California in 1968. In the late 80s, he interned with film distribution company Kino International in New York City. In 1990, he graduated with a degree in English Literature from Columbia University. He has since worked for Latvian television, studied film in California and Germany, and worked in the German film industry.
