The festival's 2009 edition takes place March 26- April 5, 2009 in seven venues in the Chicagoland. The program includes over one hundred extraordinary films and more than fifty invited filmmakers are coming to meet the audiences. About fifteen films will be selected to the main competition section (Chicago Doc Grand Prix), and the same number of short docs will take part in the short film competition section (Chicago Doc Short Film Grand Prix). All participating films, except for retrospectives and special programs, are eligible for the other awards.
