Hoping for a miracle, 500 disabled persons
make a pilgrimage from St. Mary’s Church in Katowice
to Lourdes, France in an over-crowded train. Their journey
lasts several days. Details of the trip are handled by a Catholic
bishop and twelve priests who accompany them. This chronicle
of their odyssey documents modern-day accoutrements such as
sermons en route and blessings by intercom.
Jarek
Sztandera was born in 1974 in Poland.
He is a senior at The Polish National Filmschool in Lodz,
