EYE
OF THE STORM Country
of production: Argentina, USA Strongly evocative of the classic Argentine documentary THE HOUR OF THE FURNACES (directed by Fernando Solanas and Octavio Getino), EYE OF THE STORM explores the relationship between media, money, and power in contemporary Argentina and beyond. This short film also tells the story of Indymedia, an online media activist community that arose around the time of the Seattle riots. Indymedia has since spread across the world, establishing chapters in scores of cities (including Buenos Aires and Chicago). Didactic and assertive, EYE OF THE STORM features stirring and powerful images and music. How will you respond? Director:
