With terrific cinematography and sound, EVERYTHING SOLID speaks about people on the margins of a historic quarter in Barcelona. The quarter's change is the main subject, as approached through the characters of a young transsexual and two old men living on the streets. The area is falling into ruins; tragically, so are the people, and their memories.

German Alejandro Berger Hertz was born in Santiago, Chile, in 1972. He studied journalism and social communication in Diego Portales University, and art and aesthetics at Catholic University, both in Chile. He later studied filmmaking in Spain. Since 1994, he has worked as a technician and director on both documentaries and fictional films.
