In Crossover: a worldwide basketball odyssey, the sport of basketball is a window into other worlds, a celebration of culture and identity. Basketball's presence over the past 50 years has exploded across all seven continents and onto thousands of courts. This game has transcended borders and nationalities to become a reflection of how we live our lives; regardless of where we play the game or what language we speak. The film’s use of spoken word poetry in place of traditional narration is designed to keep the storytelling connected, flowing, dancing - like the game itself. The complicated chore of interlocking verse with meaning and rhyme was achieved by some of the greatest young spoken word poets in the country who contributed to the script, and their words are powerfully delivered by one of hip-hop's greatest pioneers, Chuck D of Public Enemy. Featuring interviews with top international players, scouts, coaches, executives and basketball professionals including NBA legends Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley, Isaiah Thomas, David Robinson and Jerry West.

With over 18 years of experience in the entertainment industry, Kip & Kern Konwiser are well recognized as award winning, commercially successful producers, writers, directors, and musicians. Having aligned themselves with the entertainment world’s most influential film and recording artists, the brother team is widely recognized for their combination of business savvy and artistic talent.
