"Do I deserve this?" asks Dr. Allan Levi. "Is there really something so strange about me that it's got me into this state?" Diagnosed with manic depression, Levi is struggling to accept his new reality (he can't quite admit to people why he is the subject of a film). SUNNY INTERVALS AND SHOWERS tracks a dramatic year in Levi's life, as he switches careers from heart researcher to model airplane entrepreneur, and experiences a radical upheaval in his family life. As self-absorbed as Levi is, he never seems to forget the presence of the camera, and is determined as the months progress for filming to continue, even as his life crumbles around him. The resulting work is a touching portrait of a man of reason struggling with irrational forces struggling within his very own core.

Jonathan Levitt was raised in New Jersey, and studied art, philosophy, and psychology at Stanford University in California. He has been a teacher to children and college students. A US-UK Fulbright scholarship facilitated production of SUNNY INTERVALS AND SHOWERS.
