Chicago-native and legendary pop-movie
director John Landis makes his first foray into documentary directing.
Shot in Memphis, Tennessee, SLASHER follows "the greatest living
used car salesman" through a wild weekend of slashing prices and
making deals.
Part circus sideshow, part con
job and part clinic on the world of business, SLASHER gives us an inside
look at the tricks of the used car sales trade, which we will all remember
next time we ourselves go looking for a new (or used) car.
Chicago-native John
Landis is the award-winning director (and often writer) of
some of the most cherished American film comedies of the last thirty
years. In 1985, he was made a Chevalier dans l'ordre des arts et des
lettres by the French government. More recently, Riminicinema of Italy
awarded him with the Federico Fellini prize.
