BEDROOM RADIO is a story of love, life, death, and a pirate radio dance music station.

Gary (DJ Allusion) and Yvonne (DJ Miss-Chief) live in a tough housing estate in Scotland. Many nights, they broadcast from their one bedroom apartment on Gary's pirate radio station: Allusion FM. In a world where the drug dealer and the money lender rule, and where alcoholism and violence are an everyday reality, it is ironic that the only positive thing that this young couple can do for themselves is illegal.

Pirate radio broadcasting is a criminal offence in the UK, and although being a radio pirate carries with it the risk of either a hefty fine or prison sentence, the buzz of being a pirate has attracted a whole new generation of "Bedroom DJs." Giving voice to the disenfranchised, these pirates are perhaps the real sound of Scotland's housing projects.

Groovy, smart, compassionate, and a lot of fun, BEDROOM RADIO is a small treasure. Discover it on Friday night before going out to party the night away.

Danish citizen Doug Aubrey is an experienced director, cameraman, and producer who has made films for the UK and international market. Since 1995, he has worked extensively in the Balkan region.
