The Earth And the Sky

A finely observed story of a young boy (Roylan Borge) from Old Havana who dreams of becoming one of the few to enter the Provincial Boxin Academey, and ultimately the National team. Boxing is one of the few ways poor young Cubans can achieve national fame and glory, if not great riches. Roylan´s hero is Teofilo Stephenson, one of the all-time greats, anmd he also makes an apearance in the film, watching ancient footage of his triumphs. Roylan discovers that the journey from boyhood to champin is not an easy one.
